Our mission is to educate children impacted by homelessness by providing academic support and one-on-one mentoring so children can reach their full potential.

Educate Kids — Empower Families — End Homelessness

School on Wheels of Massachusetts is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization that provides:

After-school one-on-one tutoring for grades K-12
Summer enrichment programs
Preschool reading readiness program
Backpacks and school supplies for the entire year
Educational resources including eMac computers, workbooks and reference materials
Parent workshops focused on helping children be successful in school and communicating with your child´s teacher.
Partnering with schools and parents to advocate for appropriate academic services

A 2007 survey by the Massachusetts Department of Education found an estimated 48,000 to 50,000 children experiencing homelessness are enrolled in Massachusetts public schools.
