Educational Support Services for Children Experiencing Homelessness

School on Wheels of Massachusetts is a 501(c)3
tax-exempt nonprofit organization that provides:
  • After-school one-on-one tutoring for grades K-12
  • Summer enrichment programs
  • Preschool reading readiness program
  • Backpacks and school supplies for the entire year
  • Educational resources including eMac computer labs, workbooks and reference materials
  • Parent workshops focused on helping children be successful in school
  • Partnering with schools and parents to advocate for appropriate academic services
School on Wheels is currently helping:
  • The Evelyn House in Stoughton
  • The David Jon Louison Family Center in Brockton
  • The Conway House in Middleboro
  • Family Life Transition Center in Brockton
  • The Inn Transition and The Inn Between in Peabody

  • A 2007 survey by the Massachusetts Department of Education found an estimated 48,000 to 50,000 children experiencing homelessness are enrolled in Massachusetts public schools.

    Middleboro, Conway House
    5-6PM & 6PM-7PM

    Tuesdays:
    Stoughton, Evelyn House
    5 - 6PM & 6 - 7PM

    Brockton,Family Life Center
    5 - 6PM & 6 - 7PM

    Peabody, Inn Between & Inn Transition
    5:30 - 6:30PM

    Wednesdays:
    Brockton, Louison Center
    5:30-6:30PM & 6:30-7:30PM

    Thursdays:
    Stoughton, Evelyn House
    5-6PM and 6-7PM
