Support Services After Shelter

When families transition out of shelter to permanent housing, many of their support services are lost. The Family Mentoring Program provides continued support for SOWMA families in regards to their child's education after leaving shelter.

School on Wheels staff helps parents with school registration, transfer of records, uniforms and supplies to make the transition to a new school easier for the child.

Sarah, who has moved to permanent housing still does her homework at 6:30 every night because that is when her tutor came to the shelter.
